Discipleship Training School

“For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard." Acts 4, 20

Jesus’ disciples and the community of Jerusalem weren’t quiet about what they have heared and experienced.

The procession of the Holy Spirit was a special one in the last 100 years, filling God’s people, renewing the Catholic Church and other Christian denominations. Millions of Christians desire to receive God’s love and to live as Jesus’ disciples. The Church encourages, to: commit all of the Church's energies to a new evangelization” (Redemptoris Missio 3).

Looking back on the last few years, we see with joy the renewing work of the Holy Spirit in our country.

Spiritual movements, prayer groups and communities were born, having a great influence on our lives.

“My message and my preaching

were not with wise and persuasive words,

but with a demonstration of the

Spirit's power.” 1 Corinthians 2, 4

But if we want to be honest, a few questions arise:

  • How can we live in God’s freedom our everyday life filled with challenges?
  • What training is provided for lay people who would like to play an active role in the Church and the world?
  • Although thousands of Catholic Christians participate on the courses, seminars and trainings of the renewal, why are only a few who witness what God does in their lives?
  • How can we spread the Kerugma in our days, when all opportunities are given in the Church for evangelization?

The Regnum Christi Foundation and its collaborators, based on the experience gained between 2000 and 2005 in the Leader-Collaborator Training School (123 participants), recognized that in order to become good leaders, the first step is to learn the basics of discipleship.

For this reason we started a training from the year of 2005, which helps to live as Jesus’ disciples and until 2013 it had 101 participants. God encouraged us to continue this effective training, giving opportunity for all those who want to live as Jesus' desciples.

Discipleship Training School forms disciples, who are:

  • Following Jesus and the teaching of His Church with all their hearts
  • Ready to give parctical answers to the social, spiritual and moral questions of life
  • Preaching the Word in season and out of season (2 Timothy 4, 2) with the power of the Holy Spirit, and who are witnessing what God does in their lives
  • Building relationships based on respect, trust and love

The Church can’t be silent or calm, taking in consideration the need of millions of people who are waiting to hear the message of our redemption.  (John Paul II).

You can be part of bringing Jesus’ missionary command (“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28, 19 ) closer to fulfillment.
